Challenge: Activate the adidas sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League and build a retained audience of football obsessed teens on YouTube and beyond.
Idea: GameDayPlus is a YouTube magazine style series that drops on UCL game weeks and showcases the best adidas clubs and players.
For season three we refreshed the format with ‘The F2 Freestylers’ and ‘Freekickerz’ taking over from Roman Kemp as lead presenters. We travelled Europe with an agile crew aiming to get the best out of high profile football talent to deliver memorable moments that cut through on social. Every episode is edited in house and provides a vast tool kit of content for adidas and player social channels. The results speak for themselves with combined views in the tens of millions since 2014.
Highlights: 48 episodes across three series with over 40m views.
